AI training for teams that will actually use it

A generic artificial intelligence course is forgotten within a week. What works is practising with each person's own work: their emails, their documents, their questions. That is how I prepare the training, at your business or by video call.

Why most AI training does not work

The tool gets taught, not the work. An hour watching what ChatGPT can do is impressive, but the next day everyone goes back to their desk without knowing which of their own tasks it fits. Two weeks later, hardly anyone is using it.

The training I give starts from a short inventory of what each person on the team does. With that I prepare exercises using their own cases: writing a reply to a difficult customer, summarising a contract, preparing a quote, checking a text in another language. What is practised with real work sticks.

What we work on in the sessions

  • The basics, well explained. What a language model is, what it does well, where it gets things wrong and why you always have to check what it delivers.
  • Asking well. How to give context, examples and format so the answer is useful the first time, with templates for the tasks of each role.
  • Data and confidentiality. What you can put into an AI tool and what you cannot, which versions use your data for training and which do not, and how to configure them.
  • Your own tasks. Exercises with the team's real emails, documents and processes, not textbook examples.
  • Internal rules. A one-page usage policy that the team understands and the company can show if asked.

The EU AI Act already asks for training

Since 2 February 2025, article 4 of the EU AI Act has required companies that use AI systems to take measures so that their staff have a sufficient level of AI literacy. It does not demand a specific qualification, but you do need to be able to show that the team knows what it is using and how to use it carefully.

When the training ends I hand over the material we worked on, the attendance record and the usage policy, so the company has it documented what was done and when. At Teix Web Studio we do the same with our own team.

Formats

The usual format is a hands-on workshop at your business, in Palma or anywhere in Mallorca, with small groups so everyone gets to practise. If the team is spread out or off the island, it is done by video call in shorter sessions. For companies that are already automating processes with me, training is part of putting each automation into use.

Before the first session we talk about who will attend, what tasks each person has and which tools you use. With that I adjust the content. No two trainings are the same.

Questions

What people usually ask

Do I need to know anything about technology?

No. The training is designed for people who use email and a computer every day, not for technical people. We start from zero and move at the pace of the group.

Which tools do you use?

The ones you already have or plan to take on: ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Gemini in Google Workspace… The training focuses on how to work, not on a particular brand.

Is AI training mandatory for companies?

Since February 2025, article 4 of the EU AI Act asks companies that use AI to make sure their staff have a sufficient level of literacy. It does not impose a specific course, but it is wise to be able to show it. When we finish I hand over the record and the material.

How many people per group?

Small groups, so everyone practises with their own tasks. If the team is large, it is split into several sessions by role.

Can it be done by video call?

Yes. Outside Mallorca or with a spread-out team, it is done by video call in shorter sessions, with the same exercises.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the number of people, the number of sessions and how much has to be tailored. Tell me about your team and I will send you a written proposal.
